Sylvester Maduis a Nigerian movie actor, director, filmmaker, and pastor, who is known for playing roles like Rambo, and James Bond, among others. He was born on 11 January 1975. He started acting at an early age and has been active in the movie industry even after he became a pastor. Sylvester is best known for movies such as Runaway Bride and Wedding Pandemonium.

The first child from a family of eleven children, Sylvester joined the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, in 1998. So far, he has acted in and directed over 200 movies in the past two decades.

The award-winning actor, who is known for his expertise in handling guns in blockbuster movies, left his acting career to be a fisher of men for Christ. He is currently a full-time pastor in one of the parishes of Christ Embassy Church. His local parish is located on Eric Moore Road in Surulere, Lagos State, in the western part of Nigeria.

According to the report, Madu started acting as early as when he was five years old. He had his primary and secondary school education in his home town, Anambra State, where he got his first school leaving certificate and West African senior school certificate, respectively.

After his secondary school education, he decided to pursue tertiary education. He then enrolled and gained admission into the University of Maiduguri, located in Borno State, Northern Nigeria, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree.

Sylvester Madu has been reported to have started acting at the age of 5, but he started acting professionally in 1998 at the age of 23.

On 14th December, 2019, Sylvester Madu tied the nuptial knot with his wife, Ify Ubah and fellow actor, Tammy Opusunju was his best man on the wedding day.

Madu’s wife, Ify, is a model, television talk show host, event planner, and actress. Ify Ubah, who has featured in movies like Range Rover Babes, Eldorado, and Girls Next Door, has disclosed that she started out in the industry as a model.
